August 2012 Newsletter

At last we have had a few Sunny Days after a Summer of torrential rain. It has been a very mixed Summer Holiday in the adventure Park and on the farm. With waterproofs & wellies being the order of the day! The Jubilee weekend events and the Olympic events proved to be a lot of fun, with a lot of participants in the football & running events. Euan's Archery has proved to be a great success with adults & older children.

On the farm the weather has not been kind to the crops either, they are like ourselves and like a lot of of nice sunny days. Our oilseed Rape crop is the worst crop we have had since we started growing it in 1984, with the heavy rain making it go flat and shattering the pods. We have now finshe combing it and are ready to start the Barley & Wheat, but we fear it may be the same story as the Oilseed Rape.

Hopefully we will all enjoy an Indian Summer in September & October. Look out for our Spooky Halloween Fun on Saturday 27th October. When we will have a pumpkin hunt, fancy dress, colouring competitions & face painting. The Adventure Park then closes on Sunday 28th October for the season.

Check facebook & the website for our ANNUAL TOY SALE which is always popular for Christmas Shopping.

Christmas is only four months away and we will be having our usual Santa's Grotto on Sunday 9th & Sunday 16th December from 1pm-3pm.

The last day for customers this year will be Saturday 22nd December and our annual Christmas Party is on Sunday 23rd December from 11am-1pm where a lot of fun is had by all before we close completely until Monday 18th March 2013.

Thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to welcoming you over the coming months.

Regards

Gill, Kerr, Suzanne & the Team
